LLB, GDLP Lawyer
When it comes to the legal landscape in Toowoomba and surrounds, and the needs of everyday people in our community, Angelika could be described as knowledgeable, experienced and local to the Darling Downs region.
What are Angelika’s areas of expertise?
Her knowledge and experience in this respect was gained through her role as a Personal Assistant and Practice Manager in a local law firm for over 8 years prior to joining the team at Hede Byrne & Hall Lawyers. Through these roles, Angelika became familiar with several areas of law including Family Law, Property & Conveyancing, Commercial & Business Law, Wills & Estates , and Criminal Law, and was faced with several challenges assisting with client matters that set her apart from the average law graduate in a competitive profession.
Loyal to Toowoomba, and local at heart, Angelika chose to study her Bachelor of Laws at the University of Southern Queensland, where she could remain close to her partner and family members, and in order to serve people within the community in which she lives, grows within and loves.
Family Law Expert
As soon as she joined Hede Byrne & Hall in 2017, Angelika commenced working closely within the Family Law Team, led by Director and Accredited Specialist in Family Law, Vince Hede, and later joined by Senior Associate Bonnie O’Brien. Angelika is committed and passionate about working within Family Law and has been diligently building her career towards specialisation within Family Law. Angelika has felt strongly about Family Law prior to studying the elective at university; she remains intrigued by the family law process, and interested in assisting people experiencing emotional and difficult family law circumstances.
Angelika’s time at Hede Byrne & Hall has been highlighted by joyful and significant life events, including the birth of her baby boy. Becoming a first time mother has given her crucial insights into the experiences of people experiencing family law difficulties, which makes her easier to relate to and more approachable to those with young children.
Outside of the law
Outside of practising law, Angelika enjoys camping, kayaking and fishing with family, and likes to keep fit through regular exercise and boot camps. Throughout the years she has learnt that rising early means she can achieve her fitness goals, and recognises that Yoshi, her Kelpie x Border Collie, deserves accolades for keeping her accountable.
