Waanda joined Hede Byrne and Hall in 2015 and is primarily based in our Roma office.
Waanda holds a Bachelor degree in Law and Arts with First Class Honours and a University Medal from the James Cook University. She was admitted to the Supreme Court of Queensland and High Court of Australia as a Barrister in November 1997 and currently holds a Practising Certificate in Queensland as a Solicitor. She holds a special interest in matters affecting landowners, including Mineral Resources, Mining, Coals Seam Gas, Resumption and Acquisition of Land, Carbon Credit Trading and Litigation.
Waanda is part of the Membership Sub-Committee of the Queensland Environmental Law Association. She is also a member of the Basin Sustainability Alliance, Resources & Energy Law Association, Women Lawyers Association of Queensland, Women’s Lawyers Association of NSW, and the Family Law Practitioners’ Association of Queensland.
